A very warm welcome to the governors’ page of Highover School – and thank you for taking the time to find out more about who we are and what we do.
As the governing body, our core purpose is to support and challenge the school to be the very best it can be – for every child, every day. We work in partnership with the headteacher and leadership team to help shape the school’s strategic direction, monitor educational outcomes, and ensure resources are well managed. While we don’t get involved in day-to-day operations, we play a vital role in ensuring that the school’s vision, values, and high standards remain at the heart of everything it does.
Our governors come from a wide range of backgrounds – parents, staff, and members of the wider community – bringing together a diverse mix of skills and experience. What unites us is a shared commitment to the success, happiness, and well-being of every child at Highover.
I have been a governor since May 2022, have a daughter at the school and it’s a privilege to chair such a dedicated and enthusiastic team. Together, we are proud to support a school where children are nurtured, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. The journey through primary education lays such important foundations for life, and we are excited to be part of that journey here at Highover.
Thank you again for visiting — and for your continued support of the school.
