Admission Arrangements
Nursery
Local authority nursery schools and classes within Hitchin form part of the Hitchin Partnership. In order to provide consistency and simplify the process for parents, the partnership has agreed a timeline for admissions and a set of over subscription criteria. School Opening Hours
Nursery
8.45am Classroom entrance opens and children come into class.
9.00am School day starts
12 noon End of school day
Reception
8.40am Classroom entrances open and children come into class.
8.50am School day starts. Anyone arriving after this time needs to sign in at the school office.
11.50am-1.10pm Lunch break.
3.20pm End of the school day. Children prepare for home time.
Year 1 and 2 (Key Stage 1)
8.40am Classroom entrances open and children come into class.
8.50am School day starts. Anyone arriving after this time needs to sign in at the school office.
10.10-10.25am Morning break.
12.00-1.00pm Lunch break.
3.20pm End of the school day. Children prepare for home time.
Years 3-6 (Key Stage 2)
8.45am The bell is rung and KS2 children line up quietly until staff bring them into school.
8.55am School day starts.
Anyone arriving after this time needs to sign in at the school office.
10.10-10.25am Morning break.
12.30-1.30pm Lunch break.
3.25pm End of the school day. Children prepare for home time
